Designated representative for REMIT compliance in Germany
Under the Regulation on Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT), non-EU companies active in the European wholesale energy market must appoint a designated representative in the EU. We take on that role for companies registered with the Bundesnetzagentur.
Understanding your obligations
As a non-EU market participant, you comply with REMIT by registering with a national regulatory authority and designating a representative in the same member state. The deadline for appointing a representative was 8 November 2024. If you are registered with the Bundesnetzagentur, your representative must be established in Germany.
